Giant’s Game!May 15 2010 Leave a Comment
Today, we went to the Giant’s game at AT&T Park. This is the kid’s second baseball game. They went 1 year ago. They really had a good time. Sebastian watched the game, while Chloe ate her snacks. We lasted at the seats until the 5th Inning. We then went over to the kid’s area where Sebastian and Chloe were going to hit a ball and run the bases. Sebastian hit a ball off the tee, while Chloe just grabbed the ball from the tee and ran away After that, we got out just in time for the 7th Inning stretch. The family got on the big screen while singing “Take me Out to the Ballgame”!!! So those of you who were at the game should’ve saw us We then left by the bottom of the 8th, and we played at a small kiddie park near the marina. It was a beautiful day today. Oh, and the Giants won! Mother’s Day 2010May 11 2010 Leave a Comment
We went to the Bay Area Discovery Museum for Mothers’s Day. The museum has a lot of interactive things the kids can do. Also, at this age, they just want to run around. The kids enjoyed playing on the miniature Golden Gate Bridge, as well as playing in the rock pit. There was a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the picnic benches where we enjoyed lunch. I recommend this place to families with kids under 5. We ended up buying a year membership. EasterApril 4 2010 Leave a Comment
Studio Grow and Shear AdventuresFebruary 20 2010 Leave a Comment
Today, we took the kids to Studio Grow (http://studiogrow.com) at Berkeley. It was going to be a chilly day, so we looked for an indoor play area for the kids. Studio Grow was a great stop, as it provided around 5 different rooms where the kids can play with different toys. The toys included a large play area with a ball pit, cushions to climb on, and slides. They also had a building area that provided blocks where the kids were able to build structures, a puppet theater, and a raised wooden platform. Finally, we ended in the arts and crafts room where Chloe and Sebastian spent the rest of the day drawing with crayons and markers. After Studio Grow, the kids had their first professional haircuts. This was Chloe’s first haircut and Sebastian’s 4th haircut (the other 3 done by me). We went to Shear Adventures (http://shearadventures.com) in Danville for the haircuts. They did a fabulous job, and neither Chloe nor Sebastian cried or fussed during their haircuts. They calmly sat at the chair playing with a fishing game during their haircut. We also had a chance to stop by Tea Cake Bake Shop (http://teacakebakeshop.com) in Lafayette today for a nice sweet treat. It was a great day. We’ll see what we do tomorrow. Here are some pictures from today. Valentine’s DayFebruary 14 2010 Leave a Comment
Bedtime? and some dancing :-)October 3 2009 Leave a Comment
So over the last few months, Annie and I listen to Chloe and Sebastian through the baby monitor during bedtime, and instead of hearing quiet children, Annie and I hear the two kids laughing and playing! So we decided to put a camera in the nursery to see what they are doing. Here is a video of what we saw. The kids have also began to develop their sense of rhythm. Here is another video.
Talking!!!September 4 2009 Leave a Comment
Sebastian began to talk earlier this week. His first word is “Happy”. He just says it as he runs around. Tonight, we went to Chuck e Cheese for dinner. The kids enjoyed the pizza and the games. Chloe ate 1 whole slice of BBQ chicken pizza (maybe even more than a slice). Chloe demonstrated all she learned at daycare by climbing up into one of the play gyms, then scooting backwards on her tummy into the slide. She then went down the slide on her tummy. Sebastian just ran around, stomping his feet. He also went down the slide on his own, but wasn’t as confident as Chloe. Tomorrow, we’re going back to Fairy Land. The last couple of weeks has been very exciting. Sebastian is now full time in the toddler room at his daycare. Also, Chloe has transitioned into the toddler room too. She has been in there since Wednesday. The toddler room offers a more structured day for the kids. They all have breakfast at the table in the morning, have scheduled playtime, snack, lunch, and even nap time. The kids are enjoying daycare a lot. Last weekend, we went to LA to go to a friends housewarming (Auntie Tammy’s). It is a very beautiful home in Los Angeles. The kids enjoyed visiting our friends, and we stayed with Sebastian’s Godmother, Ninang Melissa. Today, we went to Fairyland with Chloe’s Godmother, Ninang Christine, and Uncle Gabe! The kids had a blast at Fairyland. They enjoyed playing in the different houses and walking around the park. We had lunch there as well. The kids had hotdogs with cheese and milk. The 3 hours there wore the kids out, so they slept on the ride home. Thanks Auntie Christine and Uncle Gabe for showing us Fairyland. The kids look like they are coming down with a cold, so they may be absent for swimming lessons tomorrow. Here are some pictures of LA and Fairyland. Annie’s BirthdayAugust 7 2009 Leave a Comment
Happy Birthday Annie!!! We went to Patrick & David’s in Danville for Annie’s birthday dinner. The kids did awesome as usual. They sat and ate, while entertaining the other patrons. Chloe can still be pretty loud, but she kept her loud “da das” and “ma mas” to a minimum. This week was a week of transition for the kids. Sebastian is transitioning from the infant room to the toddler room!!! He now has a bigger place to play and is going outside with the other toddlers now. Chloe looks to be scheduled to transition right after Sebastian. So right now, they are spending about half the day apart since Sebastian is in the toddler room while Chloe is still in the infant room. They are continuing to eat “big people” food and have tried a lot of new things so far, from spaghetti, hamburgers, Mongolian Beef, and garlic noodles. They are also surprising us on how much they like broccoli and green beans. They can eat a whole cup each and then some more! Nothing huge planned this weekend except for the weekly swim class. So far, Chloe has gained 2 achievement stickers for wall grabbing and back floating. Sebastian has the back floating badge, and we are sure he’ll get his sit on the stairs one on Sunday. They are both going underwater now and enjoying it. Pictures and video to come when I get some time. |
