So over the last few months, Annie and I listen to Chloe and Sebastian through the baby monitor during bedtime, and instead of hearing quiet children, Annie and I hear the two kids laughing and playing! So we decided to put a camera in the nursery to see what they are doing. Here is a video of what we saw.
The kids have also began to develop their sense of rhythm. Here is another video.
This weekend we took Chloe and Sebastian for a fun filled day throughout the East Bay Tri-Valley. We started Saturday, July 4, 2009 by going into Danville to watch the Independence Day Parade. It was a great time, up until Chloe got upset by the finale, which ended up to be guys shooting shotguns into the air. Chloe didn’t appreciate the noise. Otherwise, we had a great time even though we arrived 1 hour before the parade ended.
On our way back home, we stopped by Golden Spoon, a new local frozen yogurt shop again (we went on Friday July 3 also). Since it’s their Grand Opening, they’ve been giving away yogurt. It’s pretty good as they have a lot of different flavors. So far, cake batter seems to be winning.
We went out again at 7:30pm to San Ramon to watch the fireworks. That was a good time also. We didn’t realize how crowded it would get at that park. We passed the time by buying the kids some glow in the dark rings. San Ramon puts out a great fireworks display (lasted 19 minutes). We finally got home at 11pm after the inevitable traffic jam from leaving the park.
It was a great weekend. The kids went to swimming again today, and Annie and I stopped by for free yogurt at Golden Spoon one last time.
We had a wonderful fun packed weekend, and now it has come to a close. The weekend started with Chloe walking!!! She took a bunch of steps on Friday night, and I caught it on video. We’re so proud of her, but now, we have 2 walking babies to chase around the house.
On Saturday, we just couldn’t pass up the great weather and decided to go out. Our two choices were the Tut exhibit at the de young Museum, or to the Tea Cake Bake Shop in Emeryville. Due to several events in San Francisco that had shut down streets, we opted to stick with Emeryville. While at the Bay Street shopping center, we went to Ikea, had lunch at the Zao Noodle House, and picked up some sweets at the Tea Cake Bake Shop.
This weekend’s firsts didn’t end with Chloe walking. The kids also had several other first foods. While at the Zao Noodle House, the kids ate Vietnamese Pho. They had it with rice. Today, after swimming lessons, we picked up some Filipino food. The kids had Lumpia Shanghai and Pancit for the first time too, and they loved it! Finally, for dinner, they had hot dogs with Hawaiian bread.
Sebastian took his first steps on June 6, 2009! He was in the kitchen and just decided to walk, so I grabbed the video camera and grabbed a few more shots. Here is a video of him.
